Paul Craig Roberts - Markets Fall When Dollar Falls

The biggest danger to Dr. Roberts, who has a PhD in economics, is the U.S. dollar. Dr. Roberts contends, “It seems to me that the only thing that would cause the Federal Reserve to stop the liquidity would be if the U.S. dollar fell under attack. If for some reason people said, hey, we don’t want the dollar anymore, and they started moving out of dollars into other currencies or into something else, if they cease to hold assets in dollars, if that happened, the Fed would have to try to raise interest rates to support the dollar. Then you could see that everything could come apart. If the interest rates would go up, there would be all kinds of derivatives that would not be sustainable. The stock market would collapse. It would be a mess. It would be an utter mess. That’s what the IMF is worried about. It’s a messy situation. How do you get out of it?”

How does Dr. Roberts say people should protect themselves? Dr. Roberts says, “I would not be in debt.”

Dr Paul Craig Roberts: Washington Plans to Nuke Russia and China

Dr Paul Craig Roberts: Not everyone likes to hear about the threat of nuclear war. Some find refuge in denial and say that nuclear war is impossible because it makes no sense. Unfortunately, humankind has a long record of doing things that make no sense.

In previous posts in recent years I have pointed out both written documents and changes in US war doctrine that indicate that Washington is preparing a preemptive nuclear attack on Russia and China. More recently, I have shown that Washington’s demonization of Russia and President Putin, the incessant lies about Russian deeds and intentions, and the refusal of Washington to cooperate with Russia on any issue have convinced the Russian government that Washington is preparing the Western populations for an attack on Russia. It is obvious that China has come to the same conclusion.

It is extremely dangerous to all of mankind for Washington to convince two nuclear powers that Washington is preparing a preemptive nuclear strike against them. It is impossible to imagine a more reckless and irresponsible act. Yet this is precisely what Washington has done.

Lt. Gen. Viktor Poznikhir, Deputy Head of Operations of the Russian General Staff has concluded that Washington in pursuit of global hegemony is implementing an anti-ballistic missile system that Washington believes can prevent a Russian nuclear response to a US pre-emptive attack.

Dr Paul Craig Roberts : #TRUMP IS OVER

Recent Russian threat to shoot down US planes if they carry one more bombing or missile attack on SAA positions means a lot: 1, Russia does not fear US any longer; 2, Russia read Trump's mind correctly that he fears Russia; thus would not once again attack SAA position; 3, Russia expects that possibly more that 50% of Americas would not approve of new attack by their country against SAA; 4, Russia sees that more and more Americans see that US is fake country; for it looks out largely for the rich people. 5, Russia and some of us see that such division heralds unwell for such a fake.

Paul Craig Roberts-Dollar Should Be Reduced Already to the Level of Toilet Paper

On holding physical gold and silver, economic expert and journalist Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, who holds a PhD in economics, says, “Anyone who has surplus funds should be holding gold and silver because the dollar should be reduced already to the level of toilet paper. The Federal Reserve’s balance sheet has exploded. It’s grown so much. So, you have this massive increase in supply of money, but not in goods and services. The reason we are not experiencing hyperinflation is not much of that money got into the economy. It went into financial assets and bid up stock prices, bond prices and real estate prices. . . . If the world turns on the dollar, the Fed is not going to be able to sustain it. Gold and silver have always been money. . . . If people don’t want the currency because it’s worthless, it’s nice to have something to engage in trade with until some new monetary system can be formed. I think it is very reckless to abuse the dollar the way it has been abused.”

Paul Craig Roberts Economy A Hoax House Of Cards

With around 94 million people out of the workforce, and the near record low Labor Force Participation rate, former Assistant Treasury Secretary Dr. Paul Craig Roberts says, “The Labor Force Participation rate never falls during a recovery. It rises because people are entering the labor force to take advantage of the strong economy and jobs. So, there isn’t any economy. There is a house of cards that is held together by central bank money creation. The money flows into financial assets. That’s what keeps the stock market up, and it flows into bonds, which is why we have essentially 0% interest rates. . . . So, the economy is essentially a hoax.”

The few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits or so dependent on its favours that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system will bear its burdens without complaint and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests.

This truth is well known among our principal men now engaged in forming an imperialism of Capital to govern the world.
